The Academia is the research lab concerned with conceptual research related to the 'right side' of the Blueprint for a New Humanism. The research develops on two tracks:
(1)
It inquires into the meaning and interrelation of the concepts of 'intellectual solidarity', 'intellectual confrontation' and 'intellectual capacity building'.
(2) In cooperation with the philosophical activists of the PhɅAct Collective of the Institute, the researchers of The Academia develop the rationale and the writings of the project 'The Possibility of Global Governance'. That project is a research project about the global ethics of sustainable development governance . It inquires into how a normative view on knowledge generation and use in deliberation about complex issues of societal relevance (that are, each in their specific way, troubled by cognitive complexity and moral pluralism) could/should lead to a specific distributive justice and related human rights with regard to that knowledge generation and use in deliberation.
